At HACO, we are committed to making a positive impact on the lives of the Haitian diaspora in York, Pennsylvania, and the surrounding communities. Founded by Gabriel Altidor, our nonprofit organization is dedicated to serving and uplifting individuals and families through a range of essential services and support.

Our Mission
​

Our mission at HACO is to provide comprehensive resources and assistance to the Haitian community, ensuring access to fundamental needs and empowering individuals to thrive in their new environment.

What We Offer

  • Human Resources for Basic Needs: We prioritize addressing fundamental needs by offering assistance in accessing food stamps, childcare services, transportation, and more.

  • Language and Educational Support: We provide English language learning programs and educational resources to facilitate integration into the community.

  • Immigration Services: Our team offers guidance and support in navigating the complexities of immigration processes.

  • Mental Health Awareness: We promote mental health awareness and offer support services to ensure the well-being of our community members.

  • Employment Assistance: Helping individuals find job opportunities and aiding in filling out job applications.

  • Victim Support: We extend a helping hand to those affected by harsh circumstances, offering support and resources.

  • Citizenship Education: Providing educational resources and assistance in the path towards citizenship.
